Every project needs a parts donor. Or two or three or six. This was our major source of parts, a 1985 535iA with a blown automatic and various pieces previously stolen.

The engine and suspension were saved. The entire wiring harness was removed intact. What was good in the interior was saved. Everything else went to the dump.

We then cut it up in a Sawzall and Sam Adams fueled frenzy. The scrap metal guys who pick up from behind the shop *love* us.

Note - In California, if you cut a car into four or more pieces, the state no longer considers it a car.
